Do You Meditate?
Meditation is an extremely powerful tool. So much so, that it has a daily action step devoted to it in the Self-Love Challenge. (Get on the waitlist for the next challenge! Click here.)
One of the things I had shared with the challengers is if you can breathe, then you can meditate. It is that simple. Meditation is used to reduce stress, anxiety, pain, and it actually makes you smarter too!
This adorable Tibetan Buddhist master, Mingyur Rinpoche, simplifies in less than two minutes how to meditate. It is SO worth watching! To find out what it means to have a monkey mind, check out this article and video on how you can meditate anytime, anywhere.
A few meditation resources I use and love:
(I have no affiliation with the following, I just happen to use them and really like them.)
Headspace app – They have a free version, which sends twice daily notifications with really awesome motivational and inspirational quotes, as a reminder to meditate. There is also a paid version of the app which has guided meditations and more.
Insight Timer app – Free guided meditations, talks, and/or podcasts with a wide variety of topics and different forms of meditation. It also allows you to see who else is meditating with you, so you are never alone!
The Mindful Awareness Research Center (MARC) at UCLA website offers a link to several free guided meditations you can download. Go here to access.

There are a TON of really great meditation resources out there, and many different types of meditation, so experiment and be open to trying more than one version. Meditation is a practice, which means it is to be repeated over and over. It is a gift that nurtures you from the inside out.
Here’s to your monkey mind! Om…
xoxo
