The Measurement of Strength

What a whirlwind couple of weeks it has been! After returning from a family vacation, I had just enough time to unpack, do laundry, and re-pack to head out of town again for my product partner’s International Convention. What I learned there will set the nutritional supplement industry ablaze, as they revealed their latest, cutting-edge products that are truly revolutionary. It is so exciting!!! I can’t wait to share what I have learned. Be on the lookout for more soon.

Once back home, summer came to an end, with a new school year is upon us, and my daughter entering 3rd grade. It’s an exciting time, and I’m always energized to see and hear what she’s learning. As a parent, back to school can mean getting into routines – earlier to bed and to rise, homework, and the myriad of after-school activities.

Exercise and fitness definitely play a role in my routine, and I am constantly looking for ways to share my enthusiasm for it with my family and others, so I was thrilled when Rio brought this home:

The Olympic Fitness Challenge is for the entire month of September. There is no forcing or coercion, but merely a suggestion, an option. Not only is she excited to do it, but she is committed.

We are only on Day 2, and going strong! After completing Day 1, and really getting a sense for what was involved, I asked her how many days she wanted to commit to doing it? Her answer was EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. I said I would join her, and be her accountability buddy, so it has become a family affair. Are you up for a challenge?

Are you stronger than a third grader? Some people look at the five exercises to do everyday and they may get overwhelmed, or say, “I could never do that.” You see, it’s not really about how strong you are, in body that is, but how strong you are, in mind. If there is one thing I can unequivocally say about my daughter, it is that she is strong-willed.

When you have the will, the determination, and the commitment, then that truly makes you stronger than ever. So, what do you say, are you in?

It’s not about the medal, but the journey. Here’s to your health and your strength, in body and mind!

xoxo
