Are you prepared?
We are heading into the dreaded cold and flu season and if you aren’t prepared, then you may find yourself stuck under the covers, nose running, eyes watering, coughing until your stomach hurts, and wishing that everything would stop aching. That doesn’t sound like fun, does it? No!
What can you do? You can boost your immunity now, protect yourself from oxidative stress, and pump your body with good for you nutrients to keep you at your healthiest. Now, doing all this is great and really does keep you prepared, but even doing all of this doesn’t guarantee you won’t get sick. Healthy adults need 75 – 90 mg of Vitamin C and 11 mg Zinc per day to avoid deficiency. Vitamin C (also known as ascorbic acid) is abundant in vegetables and fruits. Besides supporting healthy immune function, there are a multitude of benefits from Vitamin C, such as helping the body repair and regenerate tissues, protects against heart disease and oxidative stress and so much more.
