And I’m giving it to YOU! Are you a fan of Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies?
You know the taste of the crunchy, mint-flavored, coated in sweet chocolate cookie, that you can never eat just one of? Are you one who likes to put them in the freezer for a cooling treat? Well, behold, I have cracked the code on creating the healthiest and yummiest version of a Thin Mint Cookie in shake form. It is so delicious!!! You will not believe that it is so good for you…low in sugar, high in fiber, high in protein, and nutrient dense.
Not a lover of avocado or spinach? You will not taste these ingredients! The avocado makes it super smooth and gives you the benefit of healthy fats to keep you satiated longer and well-nourished. It’s also a great way to sneak in fruits and veggies into your kids diets, if they don’t normally reach for the leafy greens.
*The protein powder I use is USANA’s MySmartShake Whey Protein Base, which has a mild vanilla flavor, and I add in USANA’s Chocolate Optimizer Flavor Stick. I have shared previously why I use (and promote) these products, but you may substitute for a protein powder of your choice. I advise you though to take a long and scrutinized look at the protein powder you choose, as many add in unnecessary additives, fillers, and artificial chemicals. Many are high in sugar, which spike your blood glucose levels, thereby causing a sugar high and subsequent crash, which will make you feel crappy. I do not want you to feel crappy. I want you to feel good, nourished, and living your healthiest life! Be informed, so you can make the best choice for you and for your family.
This shake is also a part of a 7-day jumpstart, so if you want to enjoy yummy concoctions like this and many others, then send me a note if you would like to hear more. I have a group starting in two weeks, whose goal is to shed some weight, lose the bloat, kick the sugar cravings, and feel good in their body while they are sporting a swimsuit…all while being able to eat and enjoy delicious food.
Enjoy this yummy smoothie!! I would love to hear how you enjoyed it, so hit reply and share your thoughts. What are your favorite smoothie recipes? I’d love to know!
Here’s to cracking the codes on classic recipes and making them healthy, good for you, and downright yummy!
