A Year’s Worth!

Let me start out by saying, I’m not a religious person. There are however, certain rituals that I find worth practicing, not necessarily because of their religious meaning, but because of the effect it has on me spiritually or holistically speaking.

I’m sharing with you, not because I want to impose any religious, spiritual or other beliefs upon you, but because this is a practice that can be done by any human, at any time, regardless of any affiliation.

This past Monday, was the Jewish New Year. After the service ended, we took a walk down to the riverbed, although there was no water. (Hello California drought!)

It was here that I said “Goodbye” to my mistakes from the last year. That’s right, I’m not perfect. I make mistakes. The idea is to send them downstream to cast them away. (Here’s hoping for a rainstorm that carries them away!)

The point is – mistakes happened, more than one. I can reflect on this last year, take notice of what worked, what didn’t and release these mistakes. Holding onto them does not serve me, yet, I can recognize and be grateful for the teachable moments they gave me. Now, I can look ahead with the experience of these mistakes and move forward with a renewed vision.

We are closing in on the last quarter of 2016. There are less than 90 days left. So, new year or not, what can you release, let go of, say goodbye to that is no longer serving you? Thank whatever it is for giving you the lesson you needed and even more important, forgive yourself for the mistakes. Mistakes happen. Forgive, Thank, Release and MOVE ON.

What’s your vision for the remainder of 2016? Move forward with an intention to bring your vision to life. If you need support, ask for it. If you want accountability, tell someone what you are doing. If you need a coach, schedule a discovery call!

Here’s to crushing it! Having a great weekend!

xoxo
