Hello there…

It’s been awhile. You’ve been on my mind a lot, and I keep wanting to write to let you know that I’ve been thinking about you, but because it had been so long since I last wrote to you, I didn’t know where to start.

You see, that’s how it is with a lot of things that you may think about doing. You build it up in your mind to be way bigger, more complicated, and/or harder than it has to be. Like losing weight or taking care of yourself. When the goal or task seems overwhelming, then your mind starts spinning (aka making excuses), and you allow the overwhelm to supersede the goal at hand. Overwhelm leads to overthinking, overanalyzing, overcomplicating, which eventually leads to being just plain over it, and guess what happens then? Yes, you know it…absolutely nothing.

The truth is, when the Coronavirus pandemic hit in mid-March, I found myself in a place I had never been before, and I know I was not alone in this experience. My main focus became my family and their wellbeing, as well as my own. My absence was not because I did not care about you, but more so because I care a great deal about you, and I did not feel equipped to hold space amidst the intense times we were all experiencing.

If I don’t feel that I can bring you valuable information, lessons, ideas, etc., then I am not going to write to you simply because I said I would write a weekly e-mail to you. You get enough useless e-mails, I’m guessing! My intention, always, is to add value. Sometimes that message may come in the written, visual or audio format, or as an offer to work together. Regardless of how it’s delivered, the outcome I am aiming for is value — ALWAYS!

Over the last few months, I have come to realize how important and necessary my work is in the world. Good health is everything right now, and while it’s something most people say they want, not everyone is willing to do what it takes to achieve it. Again, let’s keep it simple. No need to overcomplicate, overthink, overanalyze and overwhelm yourself by the thought of it. Good health can be easy. Truly, it can, and not by overhauling your entire life, but by breaking it down into smaller, more manageable steps that will lead to healthier habits you can sustain for life.

If there is one thing I know for sure it is that no amount of thinking about something will make it happen. Action is required. You don’t always have to know the “right” action to take, or wait until the timing is perfect (because there is no such thing!), you simply have to take a single step toward what you want. Any action is better than no action. Don’t know where to start? Start by replying to me.

I would LOVE to hear from you. How are you? How have you been dealing with the uncertainty that is permeating the world right now? More than anything, I truly want to know how you are doing…emotionally and physically. What do you need right now to feel good, to feel heard, to feel supported? Please comment below and let me know.

As always, thank you for allowing me into your space and for taking the time to connect with me. I appreciate you and I look forward to your reply telling me how you are doing and what you need right now. I’m all ears.

be well. love mel.
