Weekly #HealthTip: Take A Break!

Are you a 24/7 go-go-go hustler or do you take a pause from the daily grind? Now, I love Gary V and his wisdom, no doubt about it, but I don’t subscribe to the all-the-time hustle approach.

Believe it or not, taking a break can actually give you the momentum you need to propel you forward. When you are constantly in hustle mode, then you don’t have the chance to rest, reset, and restore, which are essential ingredients for a sustainable, healthy lifestyle and wellbeing.

That is the key to thriving in optimal health – sustainability. You can’t expect to be able to operate in hustle mode for an extended period of time, unless you are ready to hop on the bullet train to burnout-land. Be it your exercise routine or your J-O-B…even when you love what you do and are passionate about it, you still need to take a break every now and again.

Many people don’t take a break out of fear for what may happen to their progress. Let me fill you in on a little secret…sometimes taking a break is actually the thing you NEED to do in order to further your progress. It sounds counterintuitive, but sometimes you need to step away in order to step forward.

Not that you need it, but if you are looking for permission, then here it is — Take A Break! (Unless of course, you haven’t really been working on your goals and are looking for any excuse not to work on yourself.)
