Are you thinking to yourself, “What does my mind have to do with my health?” The short answer is: EVERYTHING!

Much like your body needs exercise and healthy food, so does your brain. Your mind requires nourishment too.

How do you nourish and engage your mind? There are many ways to strengthen and flex this muscle, depending upon what you like and how you learn best. Perhaps you love a word search, maybe sudoku is more your style, or tinkering with puzzles is your thing, or you would rather submerse yourself in a great read. Maybe it is even all of the above!!! That’s the beautiful thing, it is not a one size fits all approach!

A healthy mind is an integral part of a healthy life. Activate your mind and your body will follow. Never stop learning, never stop growing, and challenge your mind to keep yourself healthy.

I don’t know about you, but I have stacks of books that I’ve purchased over the past few years and I haven’t quite gotten around to reading them yet. I thought the best way to actually take the time to read them would be to hold myself accountable to others, while also having a fun and engaging conversation along the way. That was the motivation behind creating a Virtual Book Club!
